How to sync your Contacts, Mail, Notes, Calendar from your iPad or iPhone to your iMac, Macbook Pro, Mac desktop

I have an iPhone, and an iMac, and I like to keep everything synced, that is, having the same info appearing on both deviced. How is this achieved? Simply by using iCloud.

Your IOS device (iPhone/iPad) and your Mac Computer must meet the minimum system requirements in order to run iCloud. I am using iOS 6 with iCloud on my iPhone 3GS. My iMac is running Mountain Lion OS X 10.8. iCloud will ask for Apple ID as login credentials.

On your iOS device

On your iPad/iPhone using IOS 6 or higher.

Go to:

Settings > iCloud

Then enable your desired apps that you want to sync, e.g Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Safari, Notes, Passbook etc

On your Mac computer

iMac, MacBook, Mac Mini, Mac desktop turn on iCloud in the System Preferences.

setup_mac_turn_on_icloud

FREE iCLoud email address.

iCloud will ask you if you want to sign up for a FREE email account, so you can have yourname@icloud.com. Nice
